A subscription wine company with the goal of spreading knowledge about Australia’s wineries in different regions while supporting local.

My name is Amy and I am an ex Royal Australian Air Force serving member who has settled in the Hunter Valley. I am starting up a company called Through the Grapevine which will specialize in mixed boxes of wines from wineries within Australia.
I have been exploring the Hunter Valley over the last year and have come across some incredible wineries that I wouldn’t have if I hadn’t lived here which is a shame for those who are unable to make it to this incredible region.

My passion for wine came from my upbringing in the McLaren Vale wine region of South Australia, where I first started enjoying visiting small local wineries. Since moving to NSW I have noticed a lot of people are unaware of the smaller wineries located in SA and vice versa which I believe needs to change. This is how I came up with Through the Grapevine and plan on visiting wineries throughout Australia during the year and putting together carefully selected boxes that promote Australia’s wineries to people from other regions. I am a huge believer in supporting locals and with the pandemic, bush fires and floods that have torn throughout our nation I think this will be a good way to bring those passionate about wine together to support our country’s beautiful wineries.

As well as this company having a huge emphasis on supporting locals through spreading knowledge of Australian wines in different regions, it will be supporting veterans through ‘Vineyards for Veterans.’ This initiative will take 5% of all profits from these boxes and donate it to a charity helping Veterans and their families get back on their feet and providing much needed support.
