The Love Usagii project – “Beauty is an art and like every individual we are unique…”

Behind the business name Usagi is the Japanese term for “bunny”. My love and passion for fashion and bunnies from a young age have been my source of strength in life. I have twerked the name into something that would represent for buyers to see who I am. Love Usagii is an online boutique store that plans to supply Waifu, Japanese and other unique clothing designs. Currently, there is a gap in the market for these clothing styles in Australia. Therefore, I plan to bring these beautiful designs to market in Australia.

My vision behind this project is that I would like to provide outfits to those customers who use it for pleasure or work. I would like my business as a source of empowerment and for my customers to not only feel beautiful but look beautiful! I would love my customers to feel beautiful inside and see the beauty in my art pieces.

As my business continues to grow, I plan to expand into something more exclusive. I plan on designing my own pieces and working with other entrepreneurs who have the same integrity and values.

I would like my business to be a foundation and a space for other entrepreneurs and intend to work with those who also share a passion for creativity. My love for passion and creativity goes beyond the basic, and I would love others to not only see but feel what I am trying to present. This would involve collaboration work with other entrepreneurs/creators like graphic designers, photographers, videographers, designers and people with the same values.

I plan on networking with outside exporters and working alongside manufactures who represent the same value and integrity as my own business.  As Western Australia continues to grow, I would love to empower other women to go after their dreams. I hope you can grasp the idea and vision I am trying to present about my business today.

About the Founder:

From a very young age I always had a detailed eye for creativity and fashion. My experiences are all in different aspects for fashion, art and beauty. In high school I used to design and make small projects. I can remember that exuberant feeling when designing and producing those final pieces. I really wanted to enter fashion design after high school but was discouraged not to follow my passion. Growing up was very challenging for me, with parents whose family escaped the tragedies of the conflict in Vietnam. It left many traumas within my family and I wasn’t able to grow up living my authentic self. Creating was the only haven for me when I was young due to my environment. I didn’t seem to fit anywhere but in this space.

What had sparked my passion was the ability to experience and learn the steps of planning and producing those projects. After many years of working in the related field and working in retail I developed my designing skills. I am also a qualified hairdresser and was known as the fashion colourist with my creativity for hair colouring. I am also qualified in doing beauty services and was known for my passion for Japanese fashion and incorporated into my nail art designs. I am known to think outside the box when it came to creating. My passion also consists of helping others in my walk of life.

I am also in the progress of working my way to be a registered Psychologist/Counsellor and am hoping to do so by the time I reach the age of 40. I believe I can have a stable income before I enter my masters and utilize my small business knowledge for my private clinic in the near future.

Every bit of funding is a step in making this dream a reality and I would humbly thank all who see and believe in this new journey I am about to take.
