Shopping online can be challenging due to sizing and colour selections and the lack of simple styling advice and guidance. Many shoppers are uncertain about what styles and colours and will suit them. Style Machine is set to revolutionise the online shopping and styling experience through using tech enabled tools to deliver a seamless end to end customer journey. From styling to purchase and ‘How to Wear’ guidance, clients will experience a personalised shopping experience, based on a proposed proprietary system to measure a unique “style ID” and aspirational fashion goals utilising unique math techniques, deep tech, and algorithms. This is a unique offering was developed after an almost 20 year career and a deep understanding of both the fashion industry and the customer, already having a high interest from iconic Australian retailers for an eta.
The Problem
Shopping online can be challenging due to sizing and colour selections and the lack of simple styling advice and guidance. Customers typically rely on style charts online, however they often do not have their own measurements or have measured the incorrect part of their body to match the sizing guides. Many shoppers are uncertain about what styles and colours and will suit them. This results in dissatisfied customers, wastage in time and effort through the returns journey, poor brand experience and damaged confidence in brands. The whole online shopping experience can damage both a customer’s experience and a brands reputation.
Style Machine is set to revolutionise the online shopping and styling experience through using tech enabled tools to deliver a seamless end to end customer journey. From styling to purchase and ‘How to Wear’ guides, clients will experience a personalised shopping experience, based on a proposed proprietary system to measure a unique “style ID” and aspirational fashion goals. We aim to make fashion fun, accessible and available for everyone, and to inspire customers to look and feel their best.
The Goals
The propose to solve it with maths, deep tech, and algorithms to define unique ‘Style ID’ for every individual which will carry the individual’s body shape and preferences data that will be engineered to perpetually learn and be used for the recommendation engine proposed to be built on the application. Providing an online system where each customer will be presented with a selection of items which are perfectly suited to them both in terms of fit and preference, leading to a rich customer experience and high sales conversions. Further, we propose to have influencers and style icons built into the marketing so you can “get that look” providing an aspirational and practical service. We will have key drivers to encourage daily visits and a marketing strategy that is segmented and targeted. We look to achieve reach both locally and globally.
The Plan
Currently we are leveraging off both the earned audience and will build a further audience with marketing able to reach a national global audience very quickly. The B2B relationships formed by both Shannon and Mia will be utilised in both sales and marketing arenas and funds raised will assist in developing stage one of a 4 stage tech plan that is set for high escalation and global expansion. We have already had interest from major retailers wanting this product integration!!

Our stretch goal will be to further develop the tech and reach a global audience. We are aiming for a shorter runway first with some old fashion blood sweat and (hopefully not too many) tears. The tech has been conceptualised for many years and with our tech team we can bring it to life providing a service that Stylist Shannon has dreamed of creating to empower people to shop with confidence and look their very best in the body you have! Mia and Shannon and more than ready to go and with a spark can hit the ground running!
