Sherif is where comfort meets cool for kids between 3 and 14-years old. 

With custom prints in oh-so-soft fabrics, our Australian-designed kids clothing is made to stand out, whether your child is at the park, a playdate or party.

But what really sets Sherif apart is our commitment to making clothing that celebrates all kids, regardless of size or gender. 

With slouchy, oversized shapes, gender-neutral designs and larger size runs, every child can feel comfortable and confident in their own skin. When wearing Sherif, kids can just be kids, without the constraints of labels and limitations.

Sherif is more than just a kids’ clothing brand, it’s a statement of what we believe in as parents. By supporting Sherif, you’re not just dressing your child in stylish, comfortable clothes, you’re contributing to a brighter future where all kids are free to be themselves! 

To help us grow and continue making an impact, we are raising $15,000 to be split across marketing, production and staffing.

Our Story

Hi, I’m Mel Tsoukas! Sherif is my brainchild and the product of 30 years’ experience in the fashion and retail game, including 10 years as the owner and director of Milk Bar Group, an agency with a track record of helping start-ups become household favourites in kids’ fashion.

With all this, I’ve never seen a childrenswear brand that kids actually love wearing, is inclusive in sizing, is gender neutral AND isn’t ‘cute’ or ‘pretty’ but just looks good. 

And so I created Sherif – free of fuss, slogans and kitsch references! In Sherif clothing, kids can discover, create and forge their own path; they can be who they are and make their own mark and do so in comfort and style.

Why Sherif?

As in, “why does the world need another kidswear brand?”

Our purpose is threefold.

• Let kids be kids! Most kidswear brands only cater for up to 8-years old but what about the bigger kids? That’s why Sherif goes up to size 14 so kids can be kids, without having to worry about whether their clothes fit or not! 

• A label with no labels – kids can be in control of their own story, with gender-neutral clothing and a larger size run. With Sherif, kids can wear what they love, without being limited to certain colours or styles just because of their gender.

• Feel good, look good! Comfort trumps bells and whistles, buckles and buttons, every time, so we use only the softest fabrics, cut in oversized shapes that kids can move in without restrictions! But style matters too – we custom design all of our own prints so that you can pick a Sherif kid a mile off. With Sherif, your child is comfortable and looking their best, all at the same time.

Call-to-action

To sustain the brand and employ more amazing women at Sherif, we need to raise $15,000 to heavily invest in marketing to boost growth.

Your support will help us raise awareness with targeted marketing efforts, including social media, SEO, Google and Facebook ads. 

The money will also be put towards production, freight and storage costs, as well as staff remuneration so we can keep employment here in Australia. 

Here is a tentative breakdown of how we will spend our funding:

• $5000 – engaging an SEO marketing agency to optimise our website
• $5000 – product development, sourcing sustainable factories and product/materials 
• $2000 – Google and Facebook ad words for 2 months
• $2000 – employing a new staff member, training in marketing/social media management courses  
• $1000 – contribution towards trade shows including a stand at The Big Design Market

With decades of experience, we know a thing about children’s fashion! We’ve seen trends come and go and lived through trade shows, pandemics and fluctuating sales. But our passion for what we do never fades and we are very excited about the future of Sherif.
