Every year in Indonesia, over 90,000 women die from cervical cancer.
More than 70% of cases are diagnosed too late – as the most accurate treatment is expensive and limited

The most common test, VIA (Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid), is used across low-resource clinics. But it’s only 66% accurate, and it often misses early-stage warning signs. The result? Too many women fall through the cracks – especially in rural or underserved communities where access to more accurate test is limited.

HerLens transforms a mobile phone into an AI-powered cervical cancer screening tool.
Using cutting-edge image analysis, our platform improves early detection and reduces human error – especially in remote clinics where access to expert diagnosis is limited.

Through the HerLife Matters initiative, we will:

• Provide free, AI-supported cervical cancer screenings.
• Train local health workers & provide them with modules to use our technology.
• Deliver educational workshops and guidebook/modules  for young women on cervical cancer prevention.
• Create a model to expand to other regions of Indonesia.

Hi, I’m Nidya, co-founder of HerLens and a proud Indonesian woman.
With a background in medical technology and AI from Universitas Indonesia, I teamed up with a group of brilliant women – engineers, clinicians, and entrepreneurs – to build a solution that puts life-saving tools in the hands of local healthcare workers.

Our team is backed by professors and OBGYNs from Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital–the biggest national hospital in Indonesia and Universitas Indonesia, and we’re deeply committed to building systems that work – especially for the women often left behind.
