Hi, my name is Cheree Stokes and I am a First Nation artist working out of my Gallery/Studio, Ngurambang Birrang Gallery, here in the small village of Trundle NSW.

In 2021 I turned 60yrs old.

My Healing Dot® Sessions came about after running ordinary Aboriginal art sessions and realising it was mostly women who were drawn to them and that they walked away feeling rejuvenated and more relaxed. These sessions are best experienced in a group with other women who then are able to enjoy each other’s company learning together about my culture and my art.

These sessions were just beginning to take off at the end of 2019 into 2020 and we all know what has happened since then. As a self-supporting artist since the beginning of 2019, I was just starting to move forward myself when everything came to an abrupt stop. Now we are looking at a new beginning and having struggled to stay off any government payment I am looking to you to help cover the start-up costs to take these powerful sessions online so that they may become accessible to the many women who not just “want” them but NEED them. To do this I need the digital equipment and technical support.

My Healing Dot® Sessions offer an unique sensory practice that needs to be experienced before you can truly understand how powerful it really is, and it has been receiving very positive feedback.

Covid hit with a bang and my early attempts at that time to take these art sessions online were received with open arms. For me though, just one session was enough to show me I was extremely technically challenged in both my equipment and experience.

Solution

After much research I have discovered there is specific equipment needed in order to successfully provide my Healing Dot® Art Sessions to everyone. ONLINE.

• A good quality phone with excellent video capability
• 2 extra webcams
• A smart tv large enough to clearly show the smallest detail
• Expert guidance in editing for replays

To do this I am looking for $10 000.
