While we make sure that Our  Kids  Know how to fight against Internet Crimes

I have been a cyber security and network engineering professional and a STEM – Robotics Instructor for years. Working with young kids and working with parents made me realise that the kids these days are brilliant when it comes to technology however they are not well aware of the darker side of the internet. It’s a challenge to keep them on the brighter side while training them to protect themselves from the potential risks. The word “Cyber crime” is too complicated for the very young kids and too boring for the older kids.

So after years of research I have come up with a plan to teach our kids how to defend themselves by learning cyber security as a life skill. So my project is to design a digital camp where they can actually WATCH, PLAY, CHAT just as any other ” internet day ” . The proposed camp is equipped with innovative tools to analyze their thought process and knowledge.  We feed them all the necessary information and protocols according to their age and capacity of knowledge absorption. 

We treat them as a training engineer, we train them to code a game and understand how gaming works, we train them to analyze what is actually behind every chat room, we train them to see how the social media connects each one of us and where their pictures and private details will end up and the list go on..

After the camp they will see things differently, they will know what they are doing and as a parent you don’t have to shout and give lectures. 

The Digital Camp has no timeline. When they register with the camp they will get a password to unlock the camp on our website. Then they will have to answer some questions and play 2 games. This is how we analyse their skills, knowledge and thought process. After that we customise each profile according to their feedback. 

Then they can complete the 30 sessions long training by clicking on each Session. Every Session comes with a gift and there will be ranking for games between participating kids. Kids can decide if they want to use their real name or their username. Every Kid will learn a skill which was selected by them according to their interests. At the end of the camp they will get a digital portfolio of what they created, designed, invented or achieved.  They can continue this portfolio and one day they will have an amazing timeline of work.

• This Cyber Security Awareness Camp is affordable for parents as they can unlock several knowledge areas by making one single payment and for low income families this camp is completely free. Because we always give back to the community.

• The Programme contains Cyber Security, Website Development & Design, Programming and Game Coding. The programme is customized to match each individual kid according to their ages and capacity of absorption.
• Age Groups – 4 years old to 16 years old
• Attendance – Individual Attendance However the camp activities and individual performances are interconnected to boost up the confidence, healthy competition and team work.

This is the generation Z and they are already in the future. Let’s give them the right tools before they step on the wrong ones.
