Avoiding Business Disputes – a discussion about the ways you can set up your business relationships to avoid disputes down the track
About the Session:
In our experience most business disputes arise from businesses either not having the appropriate legal documents in place or having poorly drafted documents that do not protect their business.
In this session, Sarah Turner and Nikita Chikohwa will be discussing not only ways to avoid disputes but also how documents can be drafted to increase the longevity of the business relationship and create strong foundations for your business. We will be going through what documents we think every business must have as a necessity and why having quality legal documents in place is always a good investment for your business.
Key takeaways from the session will be –
- Different business structures and the legal documents required to avoid disputes.
- Understanding the importance of having contracts with your suppliers and customers to protect your business.
- Importance of ensuring employment agreements protect your intellectual property and comply with the Fair Work Act.
- How website terms and conditions can help avoid litigation.
