Circular Peninsula is the Mornington Peninsula’s first female-founded, circular economy collection and processing hub for hard-to-recycle plastic. We are a social enterprise that works to identify plastic waste streams, recycle plastic, measure data, and develop closed-loop solutions for a critical waste issue.

This project will raise funds to cover the necessary set up costs of our Plastic Processing Workspace. Your donation will help us to scale current production and increase our capacity to divert plastic waste from our natural environment.

Collect, sort & clean

We run a free plastic collection service for pre-approved local businesses to help them meet their sustainability targets. With the help of local community organisations and volunteers, we sort and clean the plastic waste ready for processing.

Shred into flake

The prepared plastic is then shredded by type and colour through our Zerma Granulator.

Create 100% recycled products

We work alongside our local community and product designers to create sustainable products with good design at their core.

Circular Peninsula is founded by me, Susanna. I am a community connector with a long career supporting the work of the for-purpose sector. My passion is using good data and design to divert hard-to-recycle plastics from our lands and waterways here in my home on the Mornington Peninsula.

Together with key businesses and organisations, we work with the local community to create a sustainable supply chain to retain the value of plastic and showcase it as a resource, as opposed to a single-use waste product. 

We are passionate about embracing a Circular Economy model and believe that it is our best way to create new ways of thinking and replace the take – make – dispose model with one of return & renew. Will you join us?
