From a tiny little Watermelon Seed, – BIG THINGS GROW AT SEEDSATIONS 

Todays world – Hectic, rushed, we want to buy things that are quick, easy, tasty and better for us at the same time. When people are in a hurry, they need to be able to trust that what is on the packet when it says that it is healthy.  

We all look at the health food section, and some of us look at the muesli bars and think…how simple, how easy is this to pack into lunches, carry in our bags. We know we can eat on the go – Breakfast bars, breakfast drinks, protein bars. 

BUT many of these products are full of allergens such as nuts and dairy, are full of sugars and have ingredients with names that we can’t even pronounce. Well, I can’t anyway!! 

With our Watermelon Seed Snacks we are going to change Snacking forever. 

We aim to bring your bodies and minds to life with our pure, nutritious and flavoursome Watermelon Seed Bars and snacks. 

After spending months testing, tasting and standing firm with our desire for our products to be plant based, simple and using real ingredients we have come up with Watermelon Seed Bars. Crunchy, munchy and SEEDSATIONALLY SCRUMPTIOUS. 

Our bars come in three flavours, original, apple pie and pumpkin spice using real apples and pumpkin and natural flavourings. 

We also have Roasted Watermelon Seeds, either with a hint of maple (perfect for topping yoghurts, cereals or just to munch on!) or with a hint of salt (perfect for topping pastas, salads, or again, just to munch on!)

AND IT GETS EVEN BETTER! 

Our bars are full of Vitamins and minerals such as nearly half your daily magnesium needs – which our bodies need to build and maintain a healthy immune system, they are a great source of protein, iron plus they are allergen free and YES YOU CAN UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING ON THE LABEL!! 

I worked for 30 years in the food industry here in Australia, the UK, Indonesia and Vietnam. When we moved back to Australia in 2019, I wanted to move my (obvious) love of food into something SEEDSATIONAL Not only are the products Seedsationally nutritious, but they are Seedsationally scrumptious as well. No need to take my word for it though, the facts and customers themselves say they are seedsational such as Brooke from Hobart who messaged us to say ‘Your bars help me get through every day, I am more energetic, and due to being so busy with my job and my 2 kids the bars are perfect for on the go!’ and we were finalists in the Startup category in the Nationwide Food and beverage awards 2020, just beaten by V2 foods. 

We currently sell our Watermelon Seed bars online (we would be nuts not to during this time!) and we are in a few small retailers both in Tasmania and in NSW, such as Organic grocers and Nowra Fresh. We do markets and are working hard on getting into more retailers, sports stores and vending machines throughout Australia. We have also been approved by the Tasmanian School Canteen association as an acceptable health food item, and we are now in a couple of schools. 

BUT WAIT, THERE IS MORE! 

We ran a competition via Mouths of Mums – a branded website and social media company that gave us product exposure to 2 million mums worldwide, we work hard on our socials and try to gain press coverage where we can. 

AND MORE EXCITEMENT 

We are also now a Business with purpose – putting 5% of our profits towards planting trees in Australia, in a move to hopefully become Carbon neutral in the future.   

We have big goals with an aim for global domination in the healthy snacking space in the coming years. We have targeted export markets we are aiming for and The Australia Snack Bar Market is expected to reach USD 760 million by 2024 witnessing a compound annual growth rate of 4.38% during the forecast period 2019-2024. As Australians become more health conscious, they’re looking for alternatives to conventional snack foods. 

We are hoping to raise some funds…as we want to pitch our products to both Woolworths and Coles in the near future, and need to not only raise some funding to be able to do this, but to also let the wonderful Lift Women such as yourselves know about our Seedsational products!
