Heat Wear You Need It is founder Angie Poller’s way of finding meaning in her disease, CRPS. This project will support us in adding to our range and donating proceeds to raise awareness and research for a disease named CRPS.

Traditional heat and cold pads are either designed to be used in a stationary position like sitting or laying down, or are intended for single-use only.

Post-injury, it’s so important to continue moving to keep your range of motion and to encourage blood flow and physical function for recovery. Heat Wear you Need It’s hot-cold pads are wearable and lightweight so you can manage your pain and continue moving through your day.

Our products are also reusable because we understand that today’s conscious consumers demand products that are environmentally-friendly, holistic and natural.

My name is Angie Poller. For 26 years, I have lived with a rare disease named CRPS, for which there is no successful treatment nor cure. It developed after I tore a nerve in my neck in a work accident, and has since spread to my entire body, including most recently, my eyes. At some stage, it will spread internally.

Heat Wear You Need It is my way of finding meaning for my pain. I have lost many friends to this disease, and they died in excruciating, unrelenting pain with no hope. I am striving to change this, with the goal to donate the proceeds from Heat Wear You Need It to increasing awareness and research for CRPS. I want sufferers worldwide to know that a fellow sufferer is fighting for them.

I also want to leave a legacy that my children can be proud of.

I am extending Heat Wear You Need It’s range to include the Not Water Bottle.

The Not Water Bottle is my only non-wearable design. It is an alternative to a plastic hot water bottle.

The unique blend of grains and even distribution provides gentle heat or cold therapy. It is safe from scalding water and leaking.

The pad may also be stored in the freezer, in which case it will become a soft, gentle alternative to a hard plastic gel ice pack.

Through Lift Women, I am seeking to raise $2500 to support the launch of Not Water Bottle.

I will use the money to commission female-led Australian fabric designers to contribute to a Designer Collection of Not Water Bottles. Designs may be for one-off promotions or seasonal rotations.

I will also use the money to cover photography and marketing costs.

Enquiries have been made to female led Australian fabric designers to potentially feature their fabrics to use in the Not Water Bottle for either a one-off promotion or on a seasonal rotation. This will allow the customer to purchase not only a unique, effective pain relief product but it will also in turn help female designers to expand their potential customer base.
