Overview

Pink Paw Program was first established in 2014. It was designed to help educate and support dog owners who have adopted a rescue dog or who are in the unfortunate case of looking to surrender their pet.
They provide free dog training support to help dogs stay within their forever home.
After offering this service for years in the Newcastle and Central coast area in Australia NSW, the increased number of dogs in need of support lead them to growing their team and taking on more referrals. Since then, they have joined many rescue groups within Australia and now Internationally too.
The Pink Paw Program travels around visiting rescue groups and educating communities and schools. They focus on their free dog training community lessons and coaching the rescue industries staff and volunteers to help re-home the dogs in their care.
Dog Training Lifestyle is the partner and founder of this registered charity and have brought out a Podcast to help spread awareness and reach a broader audience.
Over 250,000 dogs are euthanised each year in Australia alone, commonly due to bad behaviour. The Pink Paw Program and Dog Training Lifestyle’s biggest mission is to put a stop to surrendered dogs and prevent death row world-wide.
By raising awareness and offering free dog training content, they believe that these numbers can be drastically reduced.
I think we can all agree that children are and should be our number one priority when it comes to safety and education.
Hundreds of Thousands of children around the world are bitten every year. This is mostly due to lack of education of canine warning signs.
Certified trainer, Taylor says, “We see these mistakes a lot, and it’s only increasing with the lack of boundaries our dogs have these days. So we figure, we can’t teach all dogs that they are not to growl or react to a child or person if they are feeling threatened, but we can at least teach our kids what warning signs to look for and how they should act around dogs to be as safe as possible.”
